Physical therapy, food, and a sinus headache from hell

I went to physical therapy this morning after having a rocky night (more on that in a minute) and thankfully, therapy went really well. Once home, I wrote down six exercises so I can do them throughout the week. My therapist taped my wrist again since it helped last week.

So back to my night…I went to sleep hard and fast at 10:30 and then rested well until a little after 3:00. When I woke, I felt strangely alert. I stayed up for an hour and then I laid back down. As soon as I put my head on the pillow, my head started hurting. Like, INTENSELY hurting, in the band across my eyes as well as my right ear. It’s always my right ear. I swear.

I waited for about ten minutes and then got up again and took Sudafed and Tylenol; I also heated my little rice pack (that I literally sewed last night) and put it across my eyes and then on my ear. I fell asleep with it on my ear and right eye. I think I might have an ear infection.

I made the rice pack for heat but also as a wrist rest while I’m using my computer.

I’m probably going to make slow cooker meatballs for dinner tonight. I will probably also make angel hair pasta. Here are a few food pics from recent days:

my raisin bran, Elizabeth’s honey nut cheerios, and Izzy’s grits
everyone’s favorite sub – turkey and provolone
delicious chili in my new Harry Potter soup bowl

What plans do you have for Halloween?

My son, Samuel, is going as a…well, he has a mask, lol. It’s actually really cool and he loves it. I surprised him with it (Mom points, for sure with this one).

Anyway, Happy Tuesday!

  1. So sorry about the headache! Sinus headaches are torture. I am amazed at how fast you could make a rice pack! I need to try and do that (my sewing skills aren’t great but I love heating pads!).

    Your chili looks so delicious!

    1. I think I said it wrong; I had made the rice pack in the evening before going to bed, not in the night when I was in pain. But yeah, they are great to have on hand and pretty fast to make. I hand sewed mine, but I’ve used the machine before, too. 🙂
The chili was incredible! And thankfully, my head is better for the time being. *crossing fingers* it stays that way!
