I had yesterday off, woo hoo! And I have today off, too!! =)
I’m now working just on Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday, instead of five days of my boss’ choice. Even though, obviously, I’m making less money, I’m having a glorious break and I’m enjoying it!
Yesterday, I made pancakes again. I seem to be doing this more often ever since I bought Cracker Barrel maple syrup, lol. It’s so good! But anyway, I am sharing this picture to show the importance of monitoring the temperature on your stove, haha.

I went to Walmart with Maggie, Elizabeth, and Izzy in the early afternoon. We were grocery shopping for the week, but then the girls had to check out the pumpkins. I told them we are almost entirely just buying needs, and not wants, right now. The only way I was going to buy a pumpkin or two was if they were having a really good sale.

Well, Walmart had them for $4 each. I debated and then decided we could get one and they could share in the carving experience. It was sweet, they were really grateful and happy.
Isabella said something so pure after we picked one out. She looked upward, and said, “Thanks, God, for blessing Walmart with putting the pumpkins on sale.” Her gratitude made me really happy.

After getting all the groceries home and putting most of them away, I left the kids with Stephen, and I went to physical therapy. It was an evaluation for my neck and shoulders from the work injury I got last year. This therapy and the one for my wrists (also work related) are the main reason for taking Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri off from work.
Anway, it went really well, even though there was definitely a lot of discomfort with different parts of the evaluation. He used a massage “gun” after evaluating everything, which was crazy uncomfortable during and then crazy warm and comforting afterward. I am encouraged that I might actually get some relief from this therapy.

After making dinner (quesadillas, which the girls helped make and then actually ate!!), it was time to do laundry. I had three full baskets to deal with, but it didn’t take too long, thankfully. The above picture is just a smidgen of what I folded and put away, lol.
Then, I did a little blogging. I’m working on a post right now about Elizabeth. She is nine and has PDD-NOS (a less common presentation of autism). I used to write updates on an old blog of mine when she was little, and I thought I’d like to capture what she’s like now. So, I worked on that post some while having Saving Grace on in the background. I love that movie. And that was my Thursday!
Happy Friday!
I hope you’re having a good day!
